~ What students are saying ~
"I
finally found space to enjoy your kind offering. Even after few minutes
of listening to your calm presence and voice allowed my body to relax.
Something in my nervous system responds to your calm presence. The
practice opened up a space of more relaxed awareness in my body. Thank
you for so much deep relaxation in my body, heart and mind. I felt at
home in my body after the session. Your work is a blessing dear
Manisha.

"Thank you so much for class. I was so happy to be part of it and to be able to invite my dear friend from England. AWESOME!!!! You give so much hope and care to all of us. Afterwards, I was chatting with my friend and I was thinking that it would be awesome to have this kind of class especially when the cold weather forces us to stay at home. Thank you so much! I really hope we can virtually meet again :) " ~C.D.
Your Instructor
Manisha serves as guide, mentor, and healing professional. She started her career in health in a very traditional way as an occupational therapist working in a trauma hospital and working with children with developmental delays. She transitioned into more of a teaching and training role for a several years supporting teachers working with children with disabilities in early childhood settings.
Her passion for health and wellness always remained especially in her own life. She had always been drawn to yoga and meditation from a young age and began to play with the practices on her own in her teens and began a more formal practice in her early 20s. It strongly impacted her life and after formal yoga teacher training, she began teaching yoga in 2009.
As her work evolved, she started looking at health and wellness differently. Due to an shoulder injury in 2011, she sought out more alternative therapies and deepened her own experience of healing modalities such as energy healing, acupuncture and craniosacral therapy. It was then she began to see the connection between deeply embedded old emotional patterns and how they could show up in our bodies as pain, injury and even illness.
Through engaging with a variety of healing modalities, she was able to support her own body’s healing and developed a new relationship with it. It led her to study and practice craniosacral therapy to understand all the subtle nuances our bodies are able to offer us on a moment to moment basis. As she began to offer this work, she realized the depth of emotional healing that adults were in need of and how various types of body based practices could help us to communicate with our inner guidance to support physical, emotional and mental health. She offers a variety of ways to work with her through a trauma-informed lens including craniosacral therapy, therapeutic yoga, and mind body coaching to help people heal their nervous systems, process emotions they are holding in their bodies, release deep seated energetic patterns, and feel more grounded and resourced. Her clients often come with physical manifestations of stress, anxiety, or the desire to feel more connected to and trust their intuition.
She also teaches yin yoga workshops to support rest and deep healing that is so desperately needed today’s world. Through her work, she hopes to help people release old patterns of fear, trauma and anxiety, feel safe in their bodies and step into their lives more authentically.
She studied occupational therapy at New York University and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University. She continues to pursue advanced level training in CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release through the Upledger Institute as well as training with other teachers and mentors to further her skills in trauma informed healing practices. She has completed two 200 hour yoga teacher trainings in the hatha and vinyasa methods and has deepened her skills with additional yoga training focused on yoga for children, prenatal yoga and yin yoga. In addition to formal education, Manisha believes that life offers us the lessons we need in order to serve others in the deepest way.
